2007 WSOP Event #14: $1,500 7-Card Stud

WSOP, 2007-06-10, by Ozone

In a clear indication of how much the WSOP is thriving, nearly 400 players competed in the $1,500 7-card stud tournament. German poker professional Michael "The Doc" Keiner tamed the field to win $146,000 and his first WSOP bracelet. Keiner's previous best finish at the WSOP was 10th place in a 2001 event.

The Doc's road to a bracelet was paved with tough competition. Barry Greenstein went out in 4th place to win $33,000. 2005 World Champion Greg "Fossilman" Raymer finished 6th and won $20,000.
